Re: Bellport Country Club Brides

Welcome. It's only you and me for '06 so far. Congrat's on booking BCC! I have no doubt that it will be 'Our day, our way.'

I am still in the planning stage.

I haven't done flowers or the cake yet. But I plan to use one of their vendors.

My photo and video are not their recommended vendors. We are using Thomas Paul Photo and Carbon Film Studios for videography.

My FH is a DJ for In The Mood so we are using them. The owner of In The Mood just got married at BCC and it was incredible.

The limo's I am still undecided about, so I can't help you yet.

FH is in the process of researching hotels but I do know that the Hampton Inn does not do a shuttle service anymore. Robert told us they did but the hotel just decided to change it.

Edited for spelling.

I FM'd you my vendors, but I forgot about Limos. We used Serenity Limos. We was a customer of my DH.
We had a rolls, 2 stretch limos and a limo bus and they worked out a really good deal with us since we were not using all of the cars all day.

Hey there...

You'll love the BCC. Our wedding was wonderful and our guests had a great time.

We didn't use a limo (we did the ceremony at the BCC also). Our DJ was Music by Michael- he was awesome. Our photographer/videographer was DUET. I would HIGHLY recommend them as well. Easy to work with and the photos were great.

For flowers we used Leann's Florist out in Mastic. She isn't a vendor listed on here- I actually knew about her because I had received arrangements from her shop for other occasions, so I went in to see what they did for weddings. Her shop is a little random and not too fancy, but IMO that didn't matter. What mattered was that she was incredibly nice and fair with her prices and our flowers were gorgeous. She's worth at least going to talk to.

A word about the centerpieces- the way that it works for the BCC (or at least when I got married there) they will give you a $25 credit per table to give to your florist. So, either you pick an arrangement from your florist that is $25 (I should warn you, I couldn't find any that were that cheap) or you take $25 off of whatever price you're given by the florist. So, if the florist quotes you $50 per table, your cost is really $25 per table. 50-25=25. We actually ended up doing our own cp's and didn't go through the florist, truly for cost reasons, so the BCC GAVE US BACK $$. They counted up how many tables we had, multiplied by $25, and we got that $$ back. Just something to keep in mind...

Rolling Pin bakery did our cake- they're a recommended vendor. Very yummy- everyone like it.

One other word about food. When we got the menu we were shocked by how much food was on it (maybe it's because we live in CA and weddings out here don't have the huge cocktail hours). IT was great that they were going to offer us so much food, but we personally felt that it was unnecessary for our guests. So, we ended up nixing some of the cocktail hour stuff and instead got extra stuff for the reception- for us it was extra desserts I think. And I vaguely remember them knocking off a few $$ per head, but don't quote me on that.

Overall, there were great and we had a fabulous wedding. You won't be disappointed. They will bend over backwards to make sure that you're happy.

Good luck planning! FM if you have any questions!
