Belly Button

Madeleine had her second doctor's appointment today and her poor little belly button started to bleed (the scab fell off a day ago)... so the doctor put some sort of silver thing (i'm horrible at remembering technical names) to seal up the button... it's a liquid. Well, I changed her a little bit ago and noticed that her poor little button is still bleeding... not bleeding lots, but enough to have a scab when I change her... I was going to give her another day and then call her doctor (you know since we just say her doc today)...

Has this happened to anyone else? I hope I'm just being really neurotic!

This same thing happened to Sophia - EXACTLY. Don't worry about it! My Dr. did the silver thing. And the next morning, it was bleeding again - just a little bit. I dabbed it with a little bit of alcohol again and just kept watching it.

It did scab over and a few days later it was this tiny piece of scab left, and I GENTLY GENTLY rubbed it away. It's perfectly fine now. If the bleeding gets any worse, give the Dr. a call in the morning. It wont' though - dont' worry.

Oh thank god... that's good to know.

It does look a bit better this morning. So many things to worry about... I'm going to have a full head of grey hair by the time she's one!
