Re: belly fat
You don't have to totally eliminate the carbs, just switch to whole wheat pasta, brown rice, wild rice, and really grainy breads. But be careful for enriched wheat. Make sure everyrthing says stoneground wheat, and don't buy anything that has high fructose corn syrup listed in the top 5 ingredients. Definitely cut out the soda, and if you can water down your juice. I used to have that same problem, and went to a nutritionist, and that's what he told me, so I hope it helps!

Re: belly fat
You can't control where your body burns fat first. People will tell you what they swear works for them , but the simple fact of the matter is that you cannot control where your body burns fat. (Example - most people people tend to lose fat around their face first -- they're not doing cheek crunches to do that...) You can tone certain parts of your body, but you can't make it lose fat in that particular area over another area.
Keep exercising and eating right and it will hopefully eventually get smaller as you shed some pounds.
Plus, I bet it's not nearly as bad as you think! We're always our own worst critics.
