Belt Help

Hi girls. I ordered my dress (pictures in album) without the belt, the belt I tried on with it (the blingy one) is over $500 in the bridal store which I found ridiculous. I did see one on Etsy that I really like but its not as wide as the one I tried with the dress. I am thinking of ordering it but would like your honest opinions first. Do you think this belt would like nice with my dress?

obviously the sash wont be black, I would have it white and sewn into the dress..

Your dress is beautiful!! And I really like the belt I think it will look great. I am not 100% positive but I think when I got my veil at Barron's in tricounty I think they had belts too.

Thank you! They did have them at Barron's but they were still like $300+ for the one I liked :(

I.think it looks very similar to the $500 at Fantasia I think it is good! It will look great! Dress is beautiful too!!

I think we had a discussion about this recently? I was so torn because the one in the store I wanted was $565 and I refuse to give them anymore money..that's a whole different issue. I went to Barron's and honestly wasn't impressed by anything in that store at all.

I looked on Etsy last night and found one I LOVED - she's overnighting the belt to me so I can get it sewn on before the wedding next week. Super affordable - I think I paid less than $100 for the belt & the shipping. I just can't speak on the quality yet because I haven't received it, but she has amazing reviews.

If you want a wider one don't settle! There are soooo many pretty belts on etsy!! (Even though that one is also pretty)

I think it would look perfect with your dress! I ended up buying a belt from etsy that was thinner than the one I tried on with my dress, and to be honest, I liked it a lot more.

I love the belt, I think it's so similar and will look great. I was in the same boat, I loved my belt but it was around 500 and I thought Baron's was too pricey. I bought one from Sandys Shoes in Massapequa for $140 and then one for $55 on etsy from LucyBridalBoutique. I'm waiting for my fitting to see which to use.

I received the belt in the mail today and it is beautiful!! I absolutely love it - the quality far surpasses anything I saw in the stores and it's perfect because I couldn't have anything too wide for my dress - but she has a great selection for incredible prices.

The seller is Avenue22Bridal on Etsy. I posted two pictures of it in my 'It's the Little Things' album if you want to see

while I love the belt and how sparkly it is, I don't really like that the ribbon (even if you get it in white) will cover your dress!! i know it's only a little bit of ribbon showing, but they do make belts like that where there is no ribbon at all... I like the belt in your dress pics alot because it still shows your dress if you know what I mean haha

The dress is gorgeous on you! It definitely accents your body well. And I think that belt will look great with it! It has a similar feel to the one that you had on with the dress.

Do you know something, you are absolutely right. I didn't even think about the ribbon showing. I was kind of thinking that the bridal place would take the belt off the ribbon and sew it into the dress but I'm not sure they can. I LOVE the first link you sent! I am going to message the etsy seller and ask her If the belt can come off the ribbon to sew into the dress. If it cant I am going to pick one of the ones from the seller you suggested.

i got my belt from florenceandrose on etsy, but they are on vacation apparently on the shop lol... when their shop is back up, that's another good seller to take a look at :)

Take your time though and do your research- I looked around for a few weeks before ordering just because the etsy selection was huge and I felt like there was just soso much to look at haha
