Benefits of DOC?
So I'm seriously considering getting that DOC groupon that's being offered right now but because I'm me I can't make any kind of decision without second, triple, and quadruple guessing everything. I've already booked most of my vendors except for hair and makeup so I don't need much help there. I think it would be nice to have the peace of mind on the actual day, but I want to make sure I'm not wasting my money since we're paying for everything ourselves on a smaller budget.Do you girls have any thoughts or opinions? Am I driving myself crazy for no reason? haha sometimes I wish I could get out of my own head! TIA!

i am in the exact same situation...all my major vendors are booked also but i think i want a DOC to help everything run smoothly while im getting ready and while at church making sure programs, bubbles, etc are handed out. But i dont think ill need a DOC at the hall because I'll have a maitre 'd...i think the Groupon deal is a great price..i just dont know what to do

Exactly!! It's such a good price so I am definitely considering it. We're doing pictures beforehand so I think it'll help with coordinating the first reveal, and the bridal attendant doesn't get there until an hour before so it would be nice to have a go-to person for those hectic hours before the ceremony that could handle things like the 'must have' pictures and keep us on track, etc.. So I was thinking I'd get the 6 hour package, but for $25 more why not get the 9 hour??
I am driving myself crazy!!! lol

Benefits of DOC?
As a DOC, I can tell you there are many different things we do versus your bridal attendant/maitre'd. That being said a DOC works for YOU not your venue. We make sure things run how YOU want them, not how the venue does things. We make sure the staff puts everything together the way you have dreamed and discussed. I will be getting a DOC because the cost is worth it and the service they provide is invaluable

Benefits of DOC?
I'm going to have to check it out because I think a DOC would maybe not be necessary but it would make me feel better!EDIT: can anyone post the link to the groupon? I can't find it on the site. thanks!!

Benefits of DOC?
I hired a DOC just for six hours the day of. I'm doing my ceremony at a different site than the reception but they don't have anyone there to set up the ceremony stuff and line us up and all that, and being as controlling as I am even if I put one of my bridesmaids in charge of it I would end up doing it again myself. They've been a good investment so far even though I just took them for the day of, they've answered all my questions! I booked with Cheeky Details.

Benefits of DOC?
FH still saying no to DOC even with the groupon!! We kind of see it as money to go towards something else I guess. We're getting married at the RH, so I don't think we necessarily need the DOC. I want one but I know in the long run I won't need it :(

Benefits of DOC?
I just bought the groupon
sometimes I can make myself crazy for no reason! I know things will be hectic that morning since we're having a day wedding and I want all the pictures done before the ceremony so we don't miss the cocktail hour. This way I'll have peace of mind and someone there to keep me on task and FH and I (and our parents!) can enjoy the day without stressing about anything. Thanks so much for all the input everyone!!

make sure you contact the company and double check that you can use the groupon past 2013. I thought I read that the services had to be used by the end of 2013? I could be wrong, but I swore I read that which is why I didn't buy it...

I thought that too! I contacted them to make sure of that, and to make sure they were available on my date, and it was just that the services needed to be booked by the end of September. I'm really looking forward to having someone there to help me out for that crazy morning!

WOW that is ridiculously cheap so I figured there must be a catch.. I have an idea of what it could be but then again, just speculation.I should my coordinator was really inexpensive .. already, though, she is saving me a ton in other areas of the budget!
