Where is / did everyone order their dress from???

I haven't even started looking and my date is October 29th...

Helen's Bridal in Commack.

Personally i'm not a big fan of the chain places like David's Bridal.

I agree with this! I bought my gown from them, as well as my headpiece and veil. Also my bms did as well.

I got my dress from RK Bridal in NYC. Great prices and awesome service

For starters, I went in stating my budget was 4-4.5k. Having watched too much Say Yes to the Dress, I thought that was the average.

Macy's Demetrios (Manhasset). Ask for Diane <3. You're pretty much open to pick out your own to try on, especially during the weekday. I saw a lot of dresses in the 1.2-1.5 range. The most expensive she had me try on was a 2.3.

I third Bridal Reflections (Massapequa). Mary Lou is a doll! The dresses she pulled for me ranged from 1,500-2,400. She told me they have direct connections with Lazaro/Hjelm/James Clifford and Maggie Sotero, though they did not have a specific Lazaro dress I was hoping to try on.

BR (5th Ave). All the dresses were pricey! My consultant showed me dresses above my said budget. The dress my 'entourage' liked was an Eve of Milady for 6.5!! AND, it was in its last weeks of production. Sure enough, two weeks later, it was off the website.

RK Bridal. Great prices. Choose 5 dresses to try on. Wait for a consultant and her room. After throwing myself into racks of endless off-whiteness, everything started looking the same. The dress I ended up with is sold here and I probably could have bought it for 5-10% cheaper but my consultant was so impersonal, I didn't feel comfortable making my purchase here. Range: 800-3.5k (that I've noticed). The majority was around 1.2. Come on weekdays, FOR SURE, or very early on the weekends. I went on a Saturday afternoon and then again on a Tuesday. Due to the dry air, metal racks, and tons of plastic, I was shocked by static by everything I touched.

Priscilla of Boston (NYC). Consultant brought the dresses. Didn't show anything above the budget except for a dress I requested to see. One of my top contenders was here. Right now they are offering 20% of purchases!!

Wedding Salon of Manhasset. Rosemary, Francesca, woman with shoulder-length black hair & big smile, et al. =LOVED!!!! Fell in love with a dress but did not receive pressure to buy. That's when I made my last two appts, one at BR (Massapequa) and then Kleinfeld, just to be sure.

Kleinfeld. I worked with Sarah. For a friend's wedding, we worked with Debbie. Both consultants are great. Knowing how much my favorite dress costs, I had a lower price point. Sarah brought out beautiful dresses well below that point. The experience was definitely less intimidating than I thought it would be from watching the show. The consultants there are just regular girls. Unfortunately I gained another top contender but ultimately I went with the Wedding Salon. I was told resses here start at 800 and there are plenty of dresses under 2k, but the inventory really opens up at the 3k range. I would have bought my dress here if they carried it but they don't have a relationship with the line.
