Best Advice Just Given to me from a Married Co-Worker...
My co worker is a sweetheart. She speaks the truth, and told me the other day:
'Hon, don't stress the details of the wedding, where it will be, what flowers you get, what DJ, etc. At the end of that day, none of your guests will care or remember. What matters is your MARRIAGE and the life you and your FH will spend together, not the outcome of 1 day.'
Words to live by! Every time I stress about RH choices, dresses, guest lists, etc - I think of her words and realize I am stressing over stupid, insane details!!!

I agree! So important to keep in mind during the planning process and days leading up to the big day. Thanks for sharing that reminder!

im not stressing about this but we feel we are hosting a party and we want our guest to have a great time!!!
so if they are taking the time to come and celebrate our special day and give a gift why wouldnt i want these details to be perfect

True...we are paying lots of $$ and want things to be perfect...but I don't think anyone will have LESS of a good time (or honestly even notice!) if we didn't get the perfect shoes, or if our flowers were ivory instead of white, or if the escort cards were printed as opposed to hand calligraphy...

I so agree! My sister-in-law to be is also getting married (2 months before me, enagaged one year less than me -uh-huh) and she is having this lavish affair while I am on a budget.
When I started to get down about my small budget, I started thinking. Weddings have gotten so caught up in lace and centerpeices that we have forgotten what it is all about. My guests aren't there to judge the room, but to witness me make a life long vow to the man I love.
While there are snobs out there that will judge, I don't care, as long as we as brides are happy and looking hott, the rest is obsolete! :)

Great advice and it's so true! I have been married just one year and I really don't remember what the linens looked like at my reception or even the details of the bouquet! BUT.... I am very happy and in love!
