Re: Best Diet ever
Silly question for you ladies - do you all have a food scale? How do you figure how much 2 ounces of chicken is? Any tips? Is it like a 1/4 cup? do you measure it like that? thanks!

Re: Best Diet ever
you can get a scale relatively cheap at a target or bed bath & beyond. but if you don't have a scale handy - they say to make a fist and that is about the amount of chicken (beef, etc.) that would equal 4oz. - so i guess you could picture 1/2 your fist and eat only that much. not very accurate - but works in a bind.

Re: Best Diet ever
what kind of potatoes and rice can you have?? Can it be any kind or just like white rice? And can you combine 2 courses, like Mid morning snack and lunch with 4oz protein and 1 cup carb?
Sorry for all the questions, TIA!!!!

Re: Best Diet ever
You can eat any kind of rice, but nothing with alot of butter and oil, so like no fried rice.
You can combine meals, but I wouldn't recommend it because you will be hungry later on.

What are some other choices? Can you have lean beef? Whole eggs?
This sounds great, I'm going to try it! Thanks

Re: Best Diet ever
You can substitute the chicken with other meat, just try to be sure it is as lean as possible. I sometimes substitute turkey sausage, ground turkey, lean pork chops, etc. Red meat should not be that often though.

Another way to measure is a deck of cards is equal to a correct portion on meat.

Good Luck! This is very similar to the Walk of Life diet I'm doing and they provide free tracking charts, recipes and portion guidelines.
