Lately my skin s-u-c-k-s! I have dry and oily skin, and my face used to be smooth but now its all bumpy? I have blackheads too! It hasnt been this bad since I was in high school. I want to start now going for facials? Is there any specific kind i should get! Please help its been depressing me lately. I dont want to have bad skin for my wedding day!

i would call up the spaand tell them what kind of skin you have and see what they suggest.
also i would go to a dermatologist asap!
i just saw mine yesterday and she put me on perscription oral acne medication so my skin will be pimple-free for september!

I have the same problem lately- I have a facial on Sunday, I will let you know what they tell me- I have been using a warming cleanser from Biore for black heads though & thats helped alot.

i get one that is specifically for problematic skin and thats the nam of it lol so not sure but many places go by that and have their own special facials for problematic skin

Use toner every night after you wash your face - it helps with the blackhead problem. I use Vivant Mandelic Acid Toner.
I also exfoliate using a vitamin C exfoliant every day (I used to have bumps all over my forehead). You shouldn't do it everyday though - more like twice a week...

find a spa that has BIOELEMENTS they have an acne facial that every product is just for that formuation of facial..they also do this thing called finding out your BIOTYPE whicis what kind of skin you have to get the products that you need
you sometimes may think you have one skin type but really have another
i always thought i had oily skin anbought products for that
after cosmo school i leard that i really have combonation dry skin and i was drying my skin out by using the wrong products..now i have the best skn ever that i u se the right stuff

Seriously, try proactive. Not to sound like an infomercial, but it actually does work. My forehead tends to break out and w/in a month it totally cleared up (wow, I really do sound like an infomercial!)

I just went for a microderm abrasion treatment yesterday with the esthitician at my dermatologist's office. It wasn't the most pleasant procedure, but I have to say that my face is so smooth today and she extracted all the black heads.

i havent gone lately, i really need to at least once before the wedding...Everytime i remember to call i have to wait a while for an appt then i forget again, i keep messing up but its needed ASAP hahahahaha.

I am an esthetician..i recommend u getting a glycolic peel... It is a aggressive treatment but the results are great...This helps slouth off multiple layers of skin which helps bacteria die and makes the pores open so your skin can be extracted easily...any questions u can fm me....
