Best flea prevention for an indoor cat?

I hear the collars are not so healthy for them. Anyone use anything else they would suggest?

Frontline works very well, but it is expensive.

Just wondering why it would be necessary to do flea prevention on a 100% indoor cat? But I would suggest Frontline as well.

Maybe I am being anal...but she was a rescued cat and had fleas when she was found. It was treated before we got her but the vet said it was good to continue to look out for it in case there was some that were still dormant.

flea prevention such as revolution and frontline are good to use during the warm months because you can bring in fleas(walking in the grass, being around friends dogs, cats). Also, both protect cats and dogs from ear mites, types of worms, and heartworm (in cats, not sure about dogs). Heartworm can be transmitted from mosquitos.

If you have OTHER animals PLEASE so NOT use Frontline!!!! MY friends cat now has seizures from it!!! Its toxic if eaten/ingested and my friend used it on her cats and her one cat was licking the other cat and it got in her and she now suffers from seizures, i have even heard of pets DYING from it. the WORST to use it the HARTZ drops though.... i think its being taken off the market.
