This stems from a conversation FH and I were having last night.
In the last 30 or so years, what do you think has been the best invention?
I'm sure there are some real world-saving, life-changing things, but ours are superficial:
I say EZ Pass and TiVo - they make my life easier!!
FH says the Internet and email.
How about the rest of you?

Internet e-mail EZ Pass caller id
The above 4 have made life easier, but has allowed us to become much more reclusive
certain vaccines
anti-lock brakes and traction control, airbags... I've been in a lot of close calls that could have turned out differently.

I believe the carosel of progress is at the Magic Kingdom...I was just there this summer...and it's exactly the same as it was since the world's fair It hasn't made any progress

Re: Best Invention in Our Lifetimes?
Ok, I'm a geek...the internet is actually 35 years old (it just had it's birthday! )...of course at that time it was just two computer nerds connecting their computers! Sorry for being a geek!
I'd have to say digital and wireless technology in all that we do as well as medical technology (less invasive procedures).
