totally talk to him about the Responsibility factor that its alot to be a best man ... money ... prompt timing etc. I was discussing this all with my FH cuz he choos his brother to be the best man n he is way too young he is now only 17 he will be 19 when we get married and I think he will talk to him and his parents how they are going to have to kick it up a notch with things

i hear were you are coming from i feel this way about FH whole bridal party ... but in the end its up to him whos in it ... i am so convinced that hid BM his brother is so unreliable that i persuaded him to have a second BM .... also i am afraid that everyone in his bridal party is going to be all messed up before we take pictures ... so how i am dealing with this is simple i told FH if anyone is messed up before pictures they are being sent to the RH with thier dates and are not being in pictures ... i am sorry but i am not paying all this money for my pics to be runied ...

Not to be a b*tch, but is not giving a gift really reason to ask this person not to be the best man? Traditional etiquette states that gifts should even be given at engagement parties anyway, and even though most people do, gifts should never be expected for anything. I'm sorry but I read that and I was like 'wow', to mention not giving a gift and assuming someone close to your FH would be late to your wedding, I just think that's not too cool. TAlk to the guy, communication usually works.
I agree, but you can always have him spend the night with FH so he can't be late.

i was jsut going to say that!
my MOH is sleeping IN MY BED WITH ME - she is late for EVERYTHING. seriously, she lives a half hour away so she was going to sleep at her mom's ( 5 blocks away)
but even though she slept by her mom's house - she was STILL an hour late to pick me up to go dress shopping - so sleeping over is a great idea
and just make sure someone else plans FH's bach party!
