Ok, so Fh's Bm is his best friend, they've been friends for years.
He INSISTED on organizing a BP for FH. We were originaly just going to go out together with the whole bridal party.
So, we decided to do separate ones bc he kept insisting. He wasn't making plans and we wanted them on the same night and we kept caling and asking him...he kept saying 'I'm working on it'
So my MOH and Bms (with a little help from me) planned mine, called him and said it's August 9th- plan Fh's. He said no prob. He rented out Fh's favorite bar, contacted strippers, talked to someone about bringing in food and that's it. He never called the Gms to tell them the plan. He never ordered the food, never confirmed with the strippers. Mine is all planned.
The Gms and Fh's friends keep asking what's going on, but he doesn't really know.
Now he's all upset, because it's 2 weeks away and nothing has been done. He feels like a loser and says he doesn't even want one anymore.
What can I do? Short of calling the BM and ripping him a new one, bc this is all his fault. The other Gms are: my bro (who can't plan this on his own), my two OOS cousins, and two of our mutual guy friends(one of which isn't coming)

Re: Best Man Rant & need advice..Long- sorry!
I don't think this is as bad as you think You can order food a few days in advance and he still has some time to confirm the stripper - assuming he already 'booked' her.
I would just call him and ask if he needs help with anything - just say the guys weren't sure what was up and he should let them know.
I think bachelor parties are sometimes much less organized than bachelorette parties. Worst case scenario, they will go to dinner, hit up strip club and go to a bar.
Don't worry, I'm sure it will work out okay in the end!!!!

He didn't book the stripper- he got price quotes on everything and then just stopped.

i wouldnt call and yell at him - but i would ask maybe if he needs any help - or why dont you see if you bro will call and ask him if he needs a hand - maybe if you ask your brother to get involved he can help the best man get a little organized....i wouldnt get to upset about it, you know how guys are - they arent planners like us - my FH didnt find out about his cousins BP until like the week before....

i think we are always planning EVERYTHING---and we expect everyone to do the same. guys are last minute and thats just how they are with things. i also had a mini breakdown over my DH's bparty cause i felt his guys weren't doing enough. in the end--they handled it and he had a good time.
i wouldn't be too stressed---don't stress your FH about it either--cause if you talk about how much it sux about them not planning it the way you think they should have--its gonna make him feel bad about having the party in the first place. (same thing happened between my DH and i--he also was saying 'forget it--i won't have one'
they'll figure it out!

I'm only upset bc Fh is so upset. He thought it was all planned- he's a planner. So his co-workers who he invited came up to him today and said 'it's in two weeks?- what's the deal with it, we didn't get a phone call'
He feels like he's not important enough to plan.
The BM was the BM at his bros wedding last month and had the BP planned for months..I think that's why Fh is upset.

Then I would call him and just be like 'can you just let the guys know what your plan is, They are asking Vin about it and he isn't sure whats up. . .do you need help with anything? I know its a lot to plan and some of the other guys might be able to pick up some slack'

FH's BM (his brother) had to have one of the GM's push him to start planning, but now 2 of the GM's are planning it...maybe some of them want to start planning it?
