Best Man Speech...

I went to a wedding this weekend in Delaware and the best man (one of Alfonse's good friends) started with:

Fornication.

*cough* I mean, for an occasion, such as this...

It was so funny! Thought I'd share...

FH's cousin was at a wedding where the best man said i hope the only ups and downs you have are between the sheets!!

Hope grandma had her ear muffs on!

That is so something FH's brother (BM) would say!

Funny aside - as we all know, this is my FH's 2nd wedding. I asked his brother if he was going to prepare a speech, and he said, 'Nah, I'm gonna wing it, like I did last time.' And then he got so red, and embarrassed.

At my cousin's wedding, the best man took out a scroll and when he unrolled it, it went half way across the dance floor. everyone's eyes bugged out.


at my other cousin's wedding he said: just remeber, if you ever need anything, you can always use my bathroom ..(at the time they lived in a 2-family)

Those are good ones.

I do have to suggest though that you remind your BM and MOH to keep it short and sweet. FH and I were at a wedding a few weeks and the BM gave a 25 min speech and a lot of his references didn't mean a thing to 90% of the people in the room!

When my cousin got married, her younger brother was the 'man of honor' and in his speech he talked about all the fighting they did when they were younger and how he would always be the one to get in trouble for it because he's the boy... then he said 'Well sister, payback's a biatch' and then all of the waiters came out and handed every table a picture of my cousin when she was in 4th grade....

please disregard my face in this picture!

FH was the best man for his cousin's wedding and he said:

Lauren (brides name) place your hand palm side down on the table. Now Peter (groom's name) place your hand on top of Lauren's. You are probably all wondering what I am doing right now BUT i want Peter to know that this is the last time that he will ever have the upper hand in his relationship!!! HAHAH


It was very cute and everyone laughed!!!

Those are all good! FH is having two best men...one who is a mutual friend and how we met...and then another mutual friend but who's a heavy drinker...lol I think he'll be making the drunk friend toast. I'm a little worried!!!
