Best man trouble

So it seems that FH and his best man have had a huge falling out. FH says he doesn't even want him at the wedding now. I think they're being drama queens and he needs to mend fences w/him, they've know one another for pretty much forever. If I approach the topic w/him he gets mad. Do you think I should let it go for a while and hope that they fix things or should I press the issue?

Re: Best man trouble

Tough one...

Does he have someone else that could fill in?

You might want to let it go for a little bit to see if they work it out on their own.

Re: Best man trouble

I guess he could have someone else fill in but it won't be the same. I just hate to see them end their friendship over something silly. FH is even more angry that his friend hasn't even called him but I think this guy isn't calling because he knows he mad and doesn't want him to hang up on him or anything. I'll tell ya, and they say the women cause the drama...me and my girlies are drama free!

well - you have 5 months to let them hash it out. but - i dont think replacing him just yet is the best bet - give your FH a few more weeks (days) to be angry and than tell him he needs to GET REAL and make-up with his BM>

good luck - this totally suxs!

Re: Best man trouble

Thats tough, I would say leave it as is, but have another GM as an alternative BM if it comes down to it (about a month before)

Re: Best man trouble

It's definitely a tough situation, but it's between your FH and the BM. I agree, you have 5 months, so I'd just let it go and see what happens, men tend to forget things easily () so they may end up making up over beers or something. If it gets closer and nothing has changed, you may want to mention to your FH to perhaps ask another of the GMs to step up to the position.

Re: Best man trouble

Thanks ladies. I'll give it more time and hopefully they'll work it out. When should he make the decision as far as tuxes go? I'm a little worried about him waiting too long to figure it out.

Re: Best man trouble

My DH and his best man had a BIG falling out a couple of months before our wedding as well, and they patched things up and it was fine.

As for tuxes, we picked them out in January and the groomsmen had to order them by February 12th (our wedding was the 25th), so I think you have time for that. Or you and FH could go and pick what you guys like and the guys can go on their own.

The month mark, he should pick them out. They should be measured a month before.
