Best Place to Register?

Best Place to Register?

I'm going to start registering soon and need your help on the best places to go. I don't really need a lot of things and want a very positive experience. Also, a place where you can get cash back would be a plus!

Thanks girls!

Definitely BBB (we tuckered the lady who helped us out!) and Crate and Barrel...both very positive and great...we did BBB near the Source and C and B on Madison (we had to be in the city and that was a nice big one)-just remember to HAVE FUN!

oh...its so personal depending on what you need/like.
I found Bloomingdales to be the best b/c they have the widest all around variety. You should also consider the ages of your guests, how much money they have to spend on gifts, etc.

We also registered at Williams Sonoma only b/c we are both big cooks and wanted particular things from there.

Then we registered for 2 items at tiffany....to have as heirlooms.

THis is really personal depending on your tastes. Some other great ones include Crate and Barrel, Target, Macys, Fortunoff, etc.

Bed, Bath and Beyond!!!! That place rocks and you can't find better prices anywhere else. Plus they except 20% off store coupons on EVERYTHING, including the stuff it says you can't use coupons on like Lenox and Waterford.

Re: Best Place to Register?

As someone who is already married, I highly recommend BB&B and Macys. We got everything off of these two registeries. BB&B was conveniently located for all our guests, and people liked that they could use the 20% coupons. They also have the most hassle-free return policy I have ever seen (cash back on returned items from your registry).

Macy's has also been fab. We signed up for their Star Rewards program which gets you a certain % back on all purchases you make in the store, as well as % back on purchases your guests make off your registry. Total, we are getting about a $250 gift card back from all the purchases made. They also have a 10% off completion program. You and your family get 10% off anything in the homestore after the wedding. We got our Dyson yesterday for $350!!!

I was also registered at Crate and Barrel and have not had the best experience. A lot of their items discontinue quickly, and you can only use your 10% completion coupon one time. Plus, there are not nearly as many locations, so unless yourguests are online savvy it's difficult to shop.

HTH!

Hey Date Twin!! We are registered at Crate and Barrel, Target and Linens 'n Things. However, as much as they are similar, I like Bed Bath and Beyond much better and might switch over to BB&B (instead of LnT).
If I was closer to a Fortunoff's I would have totally registered there as well.

We did Macys and Crate & Barrel. So far, so good.
But, we did get a duplicate gift from C&B. It was glasses, so we just kept the extras. If it were a second toaster, I think I would be annoyed.

BBB all the way! They even give you snacks while you register!

We did BBB and Macys -- I have to say, i love both but both have been horrible when it comes to notifying us when things are being discontinued or going out of stock. It's caused some problems for my guests when they've tried to buy stuff off the registry. Just keep that in mind.

Re: Best Place to Register?

My favorite place to deal with so far has been Fortunoff, unfortunately, there aren't a lot of them in the area. I was torn between them and Macy's but, for the things I needed, Fortunoff had better prices.

I also registered at BBB and had a pretty good experience. They are very convenient, have a large selection, and give you cash back on returns.
