Bridal Suite in Bay Shore is great.

Lillette's (?) in Baldwin has also gotten great reviews on this site.

Try Valentina's in Brooklyn. I got my gown for $1000 with a free headpiece, veil and alternations.

Go to RK Bridal or other big salons and find the gown you like. Email Net Bride or Discount Bridal Services (DBS) for discounted prices. Do only if you have at least 6 months til your wedding, you want to leave time for possible mishaps (not to say that there will be any). I know lots of brides that saved that way. My wedding is in 3 months or else I would have used them. DBS is very good, they'll be honest with you. Call Melinda 845-463-2789 - she's very good and helpful and above all, she is honest with you. She told me not to risk it for my dress (she could have made a commission). We should reward good and honest people.

I got mine at David's Bridal in LIC, Queens. Mine was $800 and they were very friendly and helpful. Not all of them are bad!

I found my dress at Macys Bridal in Manhasset, but ended up buying it at Charmet in Bayside (Bell Blvd). I was happy with their service and with the alterations.

My gown was a Demetrios, under $ 1000 (including alterations).

I got mine for under $670, Jasmine Collection. Alterations w/ bustle CAP at $150
Lidia, Copiague (LIRR stops right across the street)

I got mine from Estelles for 600.00!!! It was a name brand also. (MOn Cheri)

Honestly, go to ANY bridal shop and look for something in that price range.. and a little over.. if you are game, get the name of the designer and then try to get the gown for less online..

Estelles's, David's Bridal....and RK bridal...but like Marcela said you can go to any bridal place and find a dress you like and then see if you could find it online

Lillette's in Baldwin has a decent size selection of dresses in that price range and the saleswomen were very helpful.

I agree-David's Bridal. My friend paid 800 for her's and it was gorgeous.
