Best place to shop for plain platinum wedding bands?

Only two months until our wedding, as we STILL do not have our wedding bands. Where can we go for no bling, plain bands? (FH is Jewish and believes that rings shouldnt have stones.) We live in Western Suffolk. We may end up buying online, so we want to avoid a hard sell. Help! We want to go tomorrow.

Our friends in Israel told us that when we went there for their wedding...something about not having any nicks in the metal that cause imperfections or something relating to the marriage...thought it was a neat concept.

As for plain bands...my jeweler in the city sells them..his prices were great for my blinged out stuff...so i am sure his plain stuff will be great as well...you can order from his website, or see him in person. He is such a nice guy & great to work with!

If you use him tell him Kathryn the National Enquirer bride recommended him!!

It is really nice idea--an unbroken band that symbolizes the marriage. And I do like plain bands a lot, so that's OK. I did, rather, sigh, want an eternity-style band of aquamarines. My engagement ring is a 1940s vintage aquamarine set in platinum with small diamonds. But, then, there's always anniversaries!

Thanks, I'm going to check them out. Last Tuesday we went after work to the jewelry exchanges on the Bowery, but they all closed at 5 and 5:30pm. I would really love an antique band, but I haven't found anything that would go with my rather unique-looking engagement ring.

You know, I've seen this site before, from when I was looking at engagment rings. He has very good prices--I think my FH should take another trip into Manhattan this week and we'll go see the rings. It would be great to see what we're getting. I adore this diamond ring, although it might be a bit narrow for my finger and engagment ring. But it would look good with my engagment ring without actually matching.

I got me e-ring setting & wedding band from him...the e-ring setting appraised for twice what FH paid..and he did some repairs on my grandmother's antique pieces that i own (pics in albums)..plus he has some other stuff at his booth that isn't in the site...he is really great to work with too...not the typical used car salesman type that is rampant in that area!!! Make sure to call for an appt...he's not always there...but will be there if you call!

PS. Your e-ring sounds beautiufl!!!

tiffanys has really beautiful plain plat bands (i like the one that matches my ring, tiffany band, but it could go well with any ering that is kinda thin)

here are pics of:
tiffany from $300
lucida from $350
milgrain from $625
legacy from $800

If you are in Western Suffolk, you should go to Dorothy's Fine Jewelry in Sayville. She has great stuff and is really very sweet!

my fiance and i considered both the tiffany band and the lucida band, and went for the lucida, just because it was more traditional looking. it is definitely personal preference though...
