Best Places for Bridal Shoes

Hi Ladies! I have my 2nd appointment to chose my bridal gown in a couple of weeks at Lillettes and the owner suggested that I bring in my bridal SHOES so they can do a measurement for my train on teh gown - I don't even know where to begin to look! PLEASE HELP!! Preferably in Nassau/Western Suffolk - thanks!!

They want you to have your shoes before you pick the dress? That's odd.

There is a place on Old Country Road across from the Source Mall that a lot of people have been using...not DSW..it's a smaller bridal boutique a few stores down.

Rachel, the big DSW, near Roosevelt Field Mall had a nice selection, but often their shoes are not in best condition (dirty)

I brought my shoes from Bridal Boutique. They were comfortable and their customer service was excellent.

WOW -thanks Ladies for the info! When I called Lillettes to schedule my 2nd apointment, they wanted me to bring the shoes so they could meaure the lenght for the train - I also thought it was odd but that's what the owner told me! I am 5'1 and my fiancee is 6'2 so I guess I have to wear heels which is not the most comforable for me!

I went to DSW in Novemebr to get my shoes and I couldn't find one single pair. I asked somethere and they said that they don't carry them anymore. I don't know how true this is but I looked all over the store and I couldn't find anything.

So I went to Roosevelt Mall and tried the Kenneth Cole store, no luck only two stores in Manahattan carrry the Kenneth Cole bridal shoes.

So i tried Nordstroms and I found my shoes there. I was also surprised by the price. They were very reasonable.

I had no idea that Nordstroms had bridal shoes - I have a $100 store credit there! Did they have a good selection?!

The selection was OK. They have Ken Cole and Vera Wangplus the brand I got called Nina. I went in Novemebr so I'm sure right now they have a better selection with all the spring/summer weddings coming up.

I just checked out the Nordstrom web site and they have a great selection and a few I really love - the prices are reasonable too - thanks for all the info ladies!

I also bought my dress at Lillettes - they now do a length measurement before they order your dree - to cut down on alterations after the fact. That's why they ask you to purchase your shoes before. I went to Shoe Elegance in Lynbrook on Sunrise Highway.

I went to Sandy's and the service was ok. Went to Nordstrom, service was good, selection was not so good. Then I went to DSW and I only saw one pair of bridal shoes and they were so uncomfortable! I finally found a pair at Bridal Shoe Boutique on Old Country Road. They had a decent delection, not as many as Sandy's, but the service was amazing. They were so nice there, they actually put the shoe on my foot for me. I can't remember the last time someone did that for me in a shoe store. Probably not since Buster Brown when I was three years old! Anyway, their prices were also very good and you get a discount if you buy all of your wedding party shoes there too.

thanks for the feedback ladies- I will definitely check all of your recomendations! I will have to wear something with a heel b/c I don't want to look ridiclous next to my 6'2 fiancee! I may also have to have an extra pair with a low heel for the dancing!
