Some friends are coming to LI to visit me tomorrow for the day. We are going to hang out on the beach but I was wondering what are some hotspots on a Sunday afternoon to eat and drink? Maybe some music too? I've never been there so I'm wondering are teh bars/ restaurants right ON teh beach or do we need to travel?
i'm not super familiar with long beach but i have to say that yummy yummy has some of the best chinese and japanese food.. and i don't eat chinese food cause i dont like the way it smells.. but that food was awesome!

There is not much on the beach but it is not far at all to get to a whole slew of bars and restaurants. You just have to go to the west end, which is at the end of the boardwalk on New York Ave. Try Minnessotas or the Inn, they are always fun. Or you can just stop in one of the 20 bars that they have along the way. It is one big strip, Beech Street. I noticed someone mentioned Paddy Mcgees. These places are in Island Park. Not to far from Long Beach, just over the bridge and on the water. There are a few bars there and they are all great and a lot of fun. Hope this helps. Enjoy your day!!
