Best places to register?

Original post by the future mrs m

Ok, so fh and I are getting ready to register for gifts (mainly stuff for our house). We need rugs, mirrors, pictures, window treatments, etc...

Where would you suggest registering?
What stores have the best deals as far as cash back deals, return policies, etc?

I did BBB and Crate and Barrel, but I returned something to BBB a week ago and they gave me a credit...they said that the internet receipt did not specify how the person paid...it was off my registry too...

Crate and Barrel, Bed Bath and Beyond. Very easy to work with so far.

I also use the 20% BBBY coupons to close out my own registry. BBBY's close out program only saves you 10%.

I did BBB and Fortunoff's. I love BBB b/c you get cash back , return lines are always fast, and there are stores everywhere. I also think ppl. like using their coupons, makes u feel like you're getting a deal. Fortunoff has everything, much larger selection than Macy's. good luck!

we registered at Macy's and Bed Bath & Beyond. Macy's had the best rewards program by far, and BB&B lets u return stuff for cash!!! I was so happy we did both....Macy's was wonderful for all stemware, dishes, flatware, glasses & such, high end/quality kitchen gadgets...and BB&B was AWESOME for everything from our comfortor set, to pictures, to mirrors, to shelving, to lamps....and really anything u could imagine! they had such fun stuff! good luck!!!!

Totally agree, i highly recommend both of these places for registering!

I did Linen's N Things

20% completion discount woohoo

but you have to do it on-line and in the store....there are so many things on-line that aren't sold in the stores

I started at fortunoffs and ended up deleting almost the whole registry because BBB had everything cheaper, plus you could use the 20% coupons that comeonce a week.
The people at BBB were much nicer and alot more helpful too

I cannot wait to register!!!!! I'll definitely pick BBB -I love that place!

And probably Pottery Barn as the second.

I also want to look into registering for the honeymoon, so people can contribute to your honeymoon fund.

ME TOO! Plus, I’ve been in a pickle with registering since I’m moving to Sweden right after the wedding---therefore IKEA would be more than perfect (with it being Swedish and all!)

Macy's reward program sounds amazing! I didn't know that they gave you that card with 5% of all purchases on it in cash ... wow. I may have to register there.

I have done a teeny bit of registering at BBB online, in anticipation of the 08 shower ... since I'm not really registering until spring of 08.

I may pick one more store ... not sure. Have to see what is out there and what I like!

I agree with BBB and Macy's. Macy's was AMAZING for me. I got some amazing gifts, they have a great rewards program and they have a ton of free gifts. I got a ton of free gifts in the mail.

I haven't returned anything yet at BBB, but the cash part sounds nice. BBB did annoy me in the beginning because I felt like I got a mailer every week about somethign being discontinued, but that seems to happen everywhere.
