Best places to register?

Ok, so fh and I are getting ready to register for gifts (mainly stuff for our house). We need rugs, mirrors, pictures, window treatments, etc...

Where would you suggest registering?
What stores have the best deals as far as cash back deals, return policies, etc?

Re: Best places to register?

BBB lets you return anything off your registry for cash.. and macys has a progrma that every purchase someone makes off oyur regisrty they take 5% of the sale and save it on a gift card for you and give it to you after the wedding to use on anything, and any online purchases they will donate a % of that sale to any charity of your choice.. I registered with both.. I know alot of people register at fortuoffs, but i havd a bad experience, no one would help us, they were swamped.. they rude and very stuck up..

Target is a NIGHTMARE. Go anywhere else. I have about $600 in duplicate gifts going back tonight, and yes, they all told the cashier it was for the registry.

Macy's! My friend registered there and they are always having sales. Right now I think they are having a home sale too.

Places I have heard good things about:
Bed bath and beyond
Crate and barrel
Pottery Barn
William Sonoma
Bloomingdales

Places I have heard not to use:
target (as a person who has bought off the registry- they kill you with shipping and wrapping charges!)
Macys- I had a registry here and they say things are discontinued when they arn't and it gets very annoying!

I did Fotunoff, BBB and Target. I chose them simply because after checking, all our guest could access at least one of the stores. And if they chose, they could go online.
All 3 at least give you discounts on completion. Fortunoff was worth it because I could actually use a few of the vendor discounts.

We registered at Macy's and BBB! Just something to keep in mind that if you have a lot of out of town guests that there aren't any Fortunoff's anywhere else other than NY, that's why we chose not to register there!

ETA: I meant the NY area, I think there are some in NJ too, but we have guests from way out of town.

Re: Best places to register?

we registered at Macy's and Bed Bath & Beyond. Macy's had the best rewards program by far, and BB&B lets u return stuff for cash!!! I was so happy we did both....Macy's was wonderful for all stemware, dishes, flatware, glasses & such, high end/quality kitchen gadgets...and BB&B was AWESOME for everything from our comfortor set, to pictures, to mirrors, to shelving, to lamps....and really anything u could imagine! they had such fun stuff! good luck!!!!

I'm registered at BBB and Macys and they are both great. Macys gave me a bag, a bridal magazine subscription, coupons and more that I can't remember. BBB has great return policies and they have the same stuff at macys but a lot cheaper. Have fun!

Bed Bath and Beyond is GREAT with returns, exchanges and 'non-registry' gifts...

Crate and Barrel is good too.
