Best RH's for smaller weddings??

Best RH's for smaller weddings??

I am going on Friday (finally!!) to go check out reception halls. I was just worried that I might miss some good ones. I am from OOT so I will only be on Long Island for 4 days to check out all the RH's anc choose one. I was just wondering if anyone can tell me which RH's you think are best for smaller wedding venues of about 100-140 guests.

I have heard places like Swan Club are great in general but that the rooms for the smaller weddings are not very nice, and that I would be disappointed. I am not sure if this is true or not but I was wondering if this is the case for other places as well. The grand ballrooms with the dome like in Jericho Terrace seem gorgeous but I would obviously not get a room like that with the size of my party. So can anyone give me any pointers, tips or suggestions?? Which places still have nice rooms for 100-140 guests (looking at about a 110-120 minimum number).

Thanks in advance!!!!

We booked the swan club. We have the contessa room and our minimum is 75. I was not disappointed by this room at all. There is a smaller room called the after deck where I think the minimum was 40, I felt that room was REALLY small. If we were able to guarantee 100 people, we could have had the Garden Room which we thought was beautiful but just couldnt make the minimum.

Try the fox hollow. They gave a good price, I didnt get to see the room but there are a lot of Fox Hollow brides on here.

Thanks so much. I wasn't sure. Someone told me not to bother with the swan club b//c the smaller rooms weren't nearlya s nice. I kept it on list to go check out anyway though

I just wasn't sure if there were certain RH's that catered more to the very large 200+ people ballroom type weddings and then had dinky smaller rooms for the others. I didn't want to waste my time going to those places since I only have a couple days to check all the RH's out on LI and pick one..... yikes!!!!

Thanks for the input.... and clearing that up

Check out the Winter Garden Pavilion at Fox Hollow (photos in my album). The room was stunning and I think that the min should be right about where you need to be depending on the date/day/time.

I don't know what area of LI you are looking at, but if you wanted something out eadt I would Definetly check out East Wind Country Gardens. It is such beautiful place. I know I am partial to it because our wedding was there, but the grounds are beautiful and the reception room was perfect for our 125 guests.

I was looking for the same as you and I ended up falling in love with the Miller Place Inn. It's one wedding at a time and my minimum was 115. My final number ended up being 135 and it's perfect for that size! Good Luck!

I 2nd the Fox Hollow I am having my wedding in the Winter Garden Pavillion and have a minimum of 110.

I also looked at the Jericho Terrace and Crest Hollow Country Club which I felt were too big for 110

Westbury Manor is beautiful too. They have the Garden Room which has 100 min.

I really like San Souci for smaller weddings. It is a one affair at a time place, so no other events would be going on. It's really beautiful and the food is top notch. Check them out http://www.sanssoucicaterers.com/

Giorgio's, I fell in love with it! I am having a small wedding about 100-125 people.

I have to recommend the Riviera. It is on the water. You can have your cocktail hour outside if you choose and it looks like a big mansion. It is cozy and perfect for smaller weddings.

I guess it really depends on the type of hall you like. The Riviera has a slightly rustic feel to it. If you want more marble floors and walls, then I don't recommend it but I just love it there.

If we weren't having so many people at our wedding, we would have had it there!

Check out the Old Field Club . I married there, and ours was much smaller than you're estimating, about 50 ppl but the OFC would be perfect for 100 or a bit more!
