I use I-Tunes. I uploaded some music from my cds onto it and downloaded songs from it as well.

I am so cluess about this even tho I wanted one..my nephew got the same ipod as me for Chirstmas and he was giving me tips yesterday lol

iTunes is great. As far as freebies, I always noticed once I use those sites, my computer goes wacky and I get all the spyware and stuff. Hate all those pop-ups! So I'd rather just pay 99 cents a song!

can you upload the music from CDs for free?? If so, the library usually has a TON of cds that you can take out...

you have to make sure that your virus and anti-spyware is turned on. this will avoid these problems you're having.

Thanks! I used to have that stuff turned on, and then something wacky happened- I couldn't get on the internet anytime I had it switched on! Once I turned it off, I could get back on.

Same here - doesn't matter how well protected my computer is or what program either!

this sounds like a great idea! they probably don't have a wide selection in every genre of music but I'm sure you can find a ton of stuff at the library.

You would be uploading the file into your itunes library, and then upload it from your library to your ipod.
