Best stores for registry?

Best stores for registry?

Any advice on which stores to use for a registry? I heard that BBB ended cash back policy and that some registries hold gifts till wedding and let you swap items before they are sent.

We did Macy's, Target & Khols and each were awesome. Macy's you get a gift card with 10% of what your guests spent on you if you have a Macy's charge and ask for their gold star program

BBB didn't end cash back, I'm still receiving cash back on gifts I received for my shower over a year later. I love BBB - nothing beats CASH.

We did Macy's, Williams-Sonoma, and Honeyfund.

WIlliams-Sonoma- No complaints although we only got like 3 gift from this registry. Seriously NO one shopped there, and we did have a lot of stuff at lower price points. It wasn't ALL expensive, but maybe people figured it would be.

Honeyfund- Worked out really well. People were able to PayPal us gifts directly, and honeyfund doesn't charge a fee. It's just the 3% PayPal fee. More people used this than I expected. I think people wanted a way to give us cash without giving us cash, KWIM?

Macy's- This was the main registry.
Pros: They have almost everything you could possibly want. They have amazing sales, and they have a completion sale right after we got married where it was 20% off rather than 10% off. The BEST part was that we got $480 on a Macy's gift card since you get I think 5% of what your guests spend and 10% of everything you spend on your macy's charge back on a GC after the wedding. That made it SOOO worth it. They have many locations and a website and the staff was generally pretty helpful. We registered at Sip and Scan at herald Square and got free gifts and got to meet brand reps:

CONS: Stuff was being discontinued ALL THE TIME. So annoying. I know this is par for the course but when our registry was at Fortunoff it seemed to be less stuff and they were better about sending emails informing you.
Also, the stores were really uneven in terms of helpfulness. At Herald Sq and Roosevelt Field they were great but any time we tried to do anything at Valley Stream or Queens Center, there was NO help to be had. Also, we had to track down our bedding set in clearance across many stores and it really varied how helpful they were.

We found that Bloomingdales was actually not as expensive as we had previously thought. It's owned by Macys, but the customer service there goes SUCH a long way. You can get the same things on sale there as you can at Macys on sale.
Just for registering they also gave us really amazing gifts, and sent a hand written thank you card.
We also are at Bed Bath, & Crate and Barrel, but Bloomingdales blew me away.

We did BBB, Macys and Pampered Chef.

Macys is really really annoying because people are buying things online and then its backordered... and backordered again and then again and then they cancel it and don't tell the person who bought it so I am put in the awkward position of telliing them I never got it!!

I am still waiting on things from the beginning of March!!!!!! Crazy!!!

I've been hearing myregistry.com is a great site for you to organize all your items. You can have all your stores items all on one site. This will be easier for your guests! check it out :)

we did BBB bc they have the most stuff. I really didn't feel like doing two different registries and we weren't looking to register for expensive items so BBB was perfect. They have all the basics, and I can edit any time online.

Amazon is a great idea.

After making several registries, I finally decided on Macys, Bloomingdales, and Williams Sonoma. We also have a honeymoon registry but I might take that down when we get closer to the wedding. We did get some gifts from that. I couldn't decide between real registry or honeymoon, so I made both.
