Best thing EVER happened today...

FH, my parents, my sister and I went down to The GCH to meet with out BM just to catch up and go over some things... And we were able to upgrade from the upstairs room to the GRAND BALLROOM!!!!!! Now it is absolutely the wedding of my dreams and I could not change one thing about it, not even if I tried.

I just want to add that there are a lot of things that my parents are paying for that were extras. For example, we are upgrading from CA to French wines, upgrading to a special champagne, adding a ton of stations, etc., etc... So I wouldn't want anyone to think that this was a special favor bc that might put our BM in an awkward situation if someone else tries to book a wedding for under 200 on a Sat night in June in the Grand Ballroom. It happened to be that the GB was still available less than 6 months prior to the wedding, and we happened to be paying for sooo many extra things and upgrades, so it worked out this way. I am not trying to sound obnoxious at all - I am only trying to explain that we are paying a lottt more than the minimum because we are upgrading a lot of things and getting specialty stations, and our BM has been nothing but fair and professional.

Thank you all so much, ladies!

The original room we had was the room upstairs and it was just lovely, but for me the grand ballroom really blows my mind. And now all our guests get their own private entrance into the hotel and we have a huge area all to ourselves for cocktail hour so it is really wonderful. I honestly could not be happier.
