DH and I are going on a cruise in Jan (already booked) out of Miami and we want to stay in Miami a few nights before the cruise. Can anybody recommend good websites with cheap rates for something halfway decent (preferably on the beach and near the shops!). I am checking Orbitz, expedia, hotels.com, and travelocity. Any others I should check? Any Miami hotel recommendations? Thanks!

I like travelzoo.com because it lets you check a hundred other sites really quickly at once. I've also found bing really good for flights.
Sorry I don't know the miami area so I can't help with that, but have a great trip!!!
I got our best rate at a specific hotel in Williamsburg, VA this past weekend on priceline.
