I actually used The Knot's Guest List manager. It's really simple.

i am a fan of wedding wire. it lets you have an 'A list' and a 'B list' etc. also, there budget tool is very useful!

excel would prob be best this way when the time comes to do envelopes it is already ready, whether you decide to print them yourself or have a company print them for you.

theknot

you can create the guest list and from there it tells you how many invites you need, you can do the seating chart, a and b list, etc etc....

Excel and everything is color coded lol.

But i'm also going to transfer everything over to a notebook in case my comp crashes or something. I will probably use the knot too.

I'm a little OVER OCD

once they are in excel you can also do a mail merge to put them into word

I did everything in excel, its great to sort it if you need it alphabetized. If you need to add up numbers for anything such as amount of ppl by putting a column at the end after ppl rsvp and writing 1 or 2 or 3-4 if they bring more ppl. If you use the autosum feature will do it all for you

The knot is amazing. The best part is that you can export your list into excel!
Also you can export by catagory if need be.
For example, I exported a seperate list for my bridal shower so my mom knows who to invite. It was so easy too. I'm riding the OCD train as well haha
