If a business is listed on the better business bureau's website, does this mean someone once filed a complaint against them even if it says they have a satisfactory record?

it can mean that they have a good business record as well - i know my job has a satisfactory record - its not a bad thing - just that they are registered..

If a business is listed on the BBB website it can also mean that they are registered with the BBB. Not all companies may be registered and that is something you should look into before purchasing anything anywhere.
I just recently ordered a gardenia flower clip for my hair to see if it would look okay for the wedding, from myvintagehut.com and I ordered it on April 18, 2008 and I have yet to receive my order, or to have heard anything from the company. I then decided after 3 weeks of getting no where to check out BBB, and what do you know, they have a complaint against them for not getting the merchandise. =( It was only $21.00 but its the principle!
