I am guessing the info they receive is from the telephone company. If your number was ever listed, it's going to show up in their database. I looked myself up and I found 7 listings for myself, all from old addresses where I had a telephone in my name and the number was listed.
The only thing I found strange was one of the listings, it was my old address, but the middle initial was wrong, and the DOB was wrong!! It listed all the telephone numbers I had, luckily none of them can be traced to me right now!!
This same information can be found on any number of websites that sllow you to lookup a person. So unfortunately, as scary as this is, it's a pretty common thing.

Yup there are several sites available that provide this info. Intellisearch. Even White Pages. It's public information. You can even enter a phone # or address in one of these sites and see whose it is. Scary huh?

I hate to say, but this is nothing. I'm a reporter, and often have to look people up to contact them. If I have no luck with the White Pages, our librarians can search all kinds of public info., including voter registration. It is freaky, but you have to remember it's public info.

wow this is wierd.
i looked under my dads name and found our current address in north babylon, but then I found an address in syracuse, my SIL's parents live and an address in tarrytown where i lived for a couple of years 6 years ago.

I don't if I am paranoid but I would be a little weary of emailing them to remove you from list because then you are basically confirming the info and providiing them with your email address. They will likely sell the info and you will be bombarded with SPAM. If it is info that others could get through the phonebook, I would let it lie instead of stirring up more stuff.
