beyond upset

Hi girls, I post on here a lot but don't want any lurkers for this topic.. I think I found out the date of my bridal shower. I am SO upset. Need some advice, should I tell FH that I think I know or keep it to myself. Don't want to share details. Just looking for some advice. Thanks.

keep it to yourself and act surprised when you get there.

I would totally tell my FH that im upset because we just have a relationship like that where we tell each other how we feel. So if you guys are open to telling each other how you feel then i would go for it.

i'm not going to be any help because i agree with both girls who just posted. part of me would act surprised and part of me would want to tell him. good luck!

Re: beyond upset

This just happened to me recently...my father blew it. Under pressure from my mother, she told me not to tell FH, and I was going to abide by that....even though I blustered that I was telling everyone. Luckily, my nana blew it AGAIN, in front of him, so then I was all too happy to provide all the details. He didn't seem to care...he said the real surprise would be if we didn't have one at all!

i would not tell... but knowing my FH he would know that I knew... I would probably try to think of the positives of the situation like being able to get extra pretty!

Here is the thing that I recently just realized. I found out some info about my shower the other day and at first I was al ittle sad but then I realized that I am honored that I am getting a shower and no matter the particulars I am super excited and thrilled!!

You cant change knowing so embrace it!

i would tell FH that i was upset but if the shower is a total surpprise (or was) i would at least try to act surpprised.

I'd say tell FH.....

Because.....First of all I would want it to be a surprise and second he can mention it to your fam members and maybe they can change the date.

Thats just my opinion....PLUS, I have a hard time acting surprised...LOL!

i would say something - mb they can change the date- but you will still know bc you know the place so when you pull up there you will know

Maybe its just me, but I don't understand why everyone gets so upset about this? Maybe it's because I'm the worst with surprises and I hate them, and dig and dig til I find out...lol

But I'd look at it like, at least I can pick out an outfit and be ready and cute instead of surprised and looking like eh?

JMO!

ITA I found out some info the other night because FH was behind the 8 ball a little, but I'm so happy I'm having one and I get to get my hair done, my make up, get all dressed up and bring my camera, I can't WAIT!!! Don't be sad, be happy and act surprised!!!!

Take it from someone who opened her mouth too much on this subject... just let it slide and keep it to yourself. Be happy and grateful that you're having a shower and let everyone who worked so hard to make a nice surprise think that they pulled it off.

Re: beyond upset

Thank you for all the advice. I like the idea of being able to get dressed up and take time to do my hair and stuff. I definitely always thought about not looking nice at my shower. Part of me really hopes I am wrong, but we'll see. Thanks again.

I don't know but I'm not so attached to the surprise time. I am actually so busy that I have to pick my shower date or there would be NO way I would actually get there. . so I will be surprised by location but that's all.. IMO it's not the surprise that's important it's that they are doing it for you ..

there are worse things to happen lol....yep at least you'll look your best! Don't feel bad, I had to TELL my mom and MOHs what to do b/c they have never planned one before, so I feel like I'm kinda planning my own- but whatever I'd be afaid of what I would look like if it were a complete surprise anyway hahah
