BH question

BH question

I am going to call my doctor - but they aren't in yet, so just wanted to throw the question out…

I had mentioned about a week ago that I was experiencing what I am pretty sure are BH contractions. I am a little concerned as when I lay down I get them more than maybe 3-4 times an hour. I actually timed them last night and sometimes they were as much as around 10 minutes apart. I am sure it's not a big deal, but I am a little concerned. It seems kind of often. There are no other symptoms, no bleeding, etc. But the pressure gets really bad and I am having to go to the bathroom a lot more frequently.

Anybody remember having this or are going through it? Of course, you read all these horror stories about pre-term labor…I am so tired of calling the doctor for every little thing, but it says in the books I have to keep your doctors updated.

I'll let you know what they say! -

Jenny I would get them 5 minutes apart sometimes It is scary but believe me real contractions are way different and painful I would still call your Dr. just to make yourself feel better

Re: BH question

I often wonder if I am even getting them. Sometimes I feel a pressure, but I just don't know...
I would mention it to the doctor- remember you are paying them to answer your questions.

Jenny ...

I've been getting them pretty frequently now at 33 weeks. It can be really uncomfortable! When I spoke to my dr about it, he reassured me that it was normal, but if you're getting them so often, you're going to want to call. He may just want you to come in for an u/s to be safe, but if there are no other symptoms, no bleeding, cramping, etc, then its probably nothing!

Call now & let us know what the dr says! Feel better & don't worry.

Re: BH question

I went to the doctor!

All is well although I got some instructions.

No sex., No exercise for three weeks. And then see how I am doing….she said it's not totally abnormal, but the frequency is kind of a concern. That I should watch for other symptoms, etc. And that she'd make sure the rest of the doctors were up to date with this. Also to make sure I let them know immediately if it ever wakes me up.

All in all it seems fine! I'll keep you updated!

Re: BH question

That's good news, sweetie! Now just relax, b/c stress can intensify the BH & let your DH take good care of you !!! Your job is to keep your peanut very safe ... so no cooking or cleaning or running errands!

I am kind of pleased Jodi! The last time was significantly uncomfy.

Maybe we can go back to fooling around!

Re: BH question

Jenny, I also get them VERY frequently, and some are so strong (pressure, not pain) that I actually have trouble walking.

to you... you have my sympathy!
