My FMIL and Fh love bialys.. There is a bialy shop down on the lower east side that makes wonderful bialys.. Anyway, she had a massive stroke about 6 weeks ago and won't be able to come to our wedding (she's in a nursing home now and doesn't know who anyone is). We were thinking of doing bialy favors - a take on the bagel favor. Does anyone know of the poem or saying that is sometimes put with the bagel favor. I know I saw it on here at some point but can't find it. Thanks.

Sorry I can't help with a poem but what a great idea! I am so sorry about your FMIL and will be praying for a full recovery. My family went through the heart break of my grandma's paralyzing stroke a few years ago so I can only imagine how you and your FH are feeling right now.

I have no ideas, but just wanted to say I'm sorry to hear this news. Also to let you know that my mom had a stroke when I was 10 years old and she was 34. She's fine today, was fine within a year. There is hope!
