Bidet

OK one of Wikipedia's featured articles is about the bidet -

So my question is - would you use a bidet if your apartment/house just happened to come with one? Personally, I fear bidets and really just imagine horrible things happening if I tried to use one.

Sorry so random

Re: Bidet

My family in Italy has them in their bathrooms and a lot of my older family members here have them in their homes too. If I had one, I don't think I'd use it; I'd just talk about it.
When I was kid, I was fascinated with them because I thought that they were sinks for little people.

Nope, I know what you mean about that 'fear'. It's not like I'm afraid of them but I just really don't like the whole idea.

OMG I just read the entry - wikipedia has no shame!!!!!

I don't know how I feel about them...I kinda think that it would have to be a pretty forceful jetstream for me to feel comfortable with the process...and then it just wouldn't be comfortable, would it???

(hey, is that irony???? )

COOL!

We went looking at ultra-ritzy houses that were for sale near us (about 3x our price rang just for fun, and they had them!

OK I would probably try it when no one was home in case there was an incident or somehow the water spewed everywhere (it is a rational fear!) I just have this mental pic of it shooting out at super high velocities

I think my uncle had a bidet when i was a kid. i had no idea what it was.

I think after graduation, part of my couple of weeks of 'break' i'm giving myself will be writing wikipedia entries. I kid you not.

I think I would be scared of bacteria or whatever else toilet water has in it. you are sparying it on very 'delicate' areas of your body!
