Big Als Family Fitness

Does anyone know if it's any good and how much they charge? I only live about 5 minutes away so it would be pretty convenient.

I used to be a member there. It was before they did all the construction (when it was just Dolphin) and it was $499 for the year. I really liked it at first (although they try to suck you in to personal training). I didn't renew this year because I really don't think I like the new expanded gym so much.

Also, it was cheaper for me to keep my membership at Lucille Roberts for weights and for cardio I joined Club CKO in Copiague for kickboxing - which is SO much fun!

I am a member of cko kickboxing but I think I need a regular gym too.

Yea FH use to go there when it was Dolphin, he liked it...
I think they made it a lot bigger and a lot more stuff. He's always getting flyer's on it....
You should try it out, it looks really nice from the outside, it too far for us now

That's why I kept my Lucille Roberts membership - its way cheaper than Big Als. However, Big Als may now do a shorter membership term. When I joined, you HAD to join for a full year.

Does Lucille Roberts do short term memberships and if so how much do they charge?

I got a pay by the month thing membership that I think was $75 down and it's $15 a month.... apparently, I can cancel at any time.... We'll see about that though

Now I feel like I need a good workout...I hope I'm out of work in time tonight to make Frankie's 7:15 class!

I haven't worked out in so long it's terrible. Some days with the kickboxing I feel like I can't get there because that class just kicks you a$$. Do you take any classes at Lucille Roberts? Do you go to the one in Massapequa?

I called and they said they do have a pay by the month membership but I have to go there to talk to someone about pricing. If they do and it's $15 maybe I will sign up. Maybe I will cancel kickboxing that's would save me some money every month. I am sure they have a cancellation fee though.

I know - it's scary too when you haven't gone in a while and then you go to do a kickboxing class and you feel like you're going to die! I haven't gone in a couple of weeks (been sick) and I'm afraid!

I don't take any of the classes at Lucille Roberts because they never seem to be at a good time for me. Also, after doing kickboxing I don't feel like I sweat enough in their classes!
