Re: Big Breasted Brides...

I wear a 32 DD. I would not wear a strapless. Instead I would wear a strapless corset (but not corset) type thing. I forgot what they are called. I personally hate strapless bras, they never stay on right.

I think what you mean is a long line bra..

Le Mystere makes a very high quality one.. Straps, or no straps.. I think they are around 100 bucks.

Re: Big Breasted Brides...

I'm a 34C (full cup). I'm wearing a bustier because I wanted to wear real/old style stockings.

I purchased mine at Christy's Lingerie in Stony Brook. The one I purchased is actually a 34B because apparently the sizing runs differently in the bustiers.

Here's mine. It stays up nicely because it's long. And it was a third of the price of the one at the salon and much nicer.

There's nothing wrong with going bra-less if you feel best that way. As I stated before, I wanted this particular look under my dress.

Re: Big Breasted Brides...

I am a 38DD I am not wearing one. They made the top of my dress tight enought that I won't fall out.

Re: Big Breasted Brides...

I am a 32D. I thought about going braless, but decided that I wanted a little more security. I got a removable strap bra from Victoria Secret. I usually hate strapless bras, but it was actually supportive and comfortable.

ETA: I just realized that I answered this post twice.

Re: Big Breasted Brides...

I am a 34 DD and hate them too. I can only wear the ones that come down to my waist...I feel a lot safer in them too if you know what I mean. I get mine at Blum's. They can be a bit pricy but the bras fit great!! That store is my savior for bathing suits as well.

Re: Big Breasted Brides...

I can't stand strapless! I'm a 32D and I'm thinking about not wearing a bra at all, because my dress is very supportive. If I do wear something, it'll be a corset

Re: Big Breasted Brides...

i just ordered this bra...i tried one on with my dress, but it didn't quite fit, it was the wrong cup size. the bra i had bought was a maideform and you could see the boning...this one looks great, and it seems pretty comfortable as far as strapless bras go. they have a very similar one in victoria's secret, but it was more expensive and they don't make it in my size.

Re: Big Breasted Brides...

Go to a corset shop and have them show you what they have. I recommend a strapless long line bra like the other ladies suggested. I got mine from Miriam's in East Meadow.

Re: Big Breasted Brides...

Like am470, I am a 32DD. I wore a strapless long-line bra. I went dress shopping with a regular strapless bra and absolutely hated it. As others have said, a high end lingerie shop will have what you need. I got mine at Bra Tenders in Manhattan.

Re: Big Breasted Brides...

I am a 32D (some would say DD) and I definitely wanted to have something. I bought a corset that didn't work out with my gown so I ended up buying a corset/bustier style bra from the bridal shop. I would not have felt comfy with nothing on but I hate the regular strapless bras.

That Felina one is the one I bought from Town Shop in manhattan. It showed in the back of my dress, so I bught a differnt oen fromt eh bridal shop. The felina one is a little thick so it made my dress a little tight too. I am keeping it though, it worked great under other things.
The new oen is sheerer, but with boning. It doesn't suck int eh gut as much, but the wiast on my dres sis high enough, that I don't need as much gut sucking as usuall.

Re: Big Breasted Brides...

I'am a 36D as well and the dress looked great( strapless) with a corset on..it actually made me look just enough smaller due to being sucked in so much that I was shocked and happy I wouldnt have to deal with the flowing over issue....I think you should talk to them, call and ask to speak to the seamstress and explain your issue, tell them you dont want to buy a bra yet until you know if thats the best option for you...they always tell you to bring a bra...

Re: Big Breasted Brides...

I'm a 36DDD and my dress is strapless but it has a corset type back to it - it laces up nice and tight HOWEVER, I think I still need to wear a bra. I would recommend going to either Georgette's in Hicksville (on 107) or Mary's Corsetiere's in Woodbury, (right on Woodbury Road); they are both excellent and will find the perfect bra for you! I'm wearing a strapless (smooth) long line bra (AKA harness), but trust me, it does the trick!

Re: Big Breasted Brides...

I'm a 34C, not LARGE, but, I bought a bra for the wedding, wore it to my fittings, and then the day of, (after I got sick), I took it off and went sans bra for the reception, and I was fine.

If you think your dress can support you, without one, then I say be comfy and go for it!!!

I am a 36 DD and I got a long-line strapless bra that is really good. I got it at Georgette's in Hicksville.
