Big Breasted Brides...

Okay-I am a 36D and my dress is strapless. I can't get cups sewn into the dress because they don't come in a D size. When I put on the dress for the first time, I didn't wear a bra and since the dress was so supportive, it looked fine without one. I just got the call that my dress is in and that I should bring a bra with me. Are any of you not wearing bras? If you have big messy boobs, and you are wearing a strapless bra, what make did you get? I have a strapless bra but it's a joke. thanks!

I too am a 36D wearing a strapless. I got mine from Maidenform for $25. It's not the most comfortable but it's supportive.

Re: Big Breasted Brides...

I am wearing a strapless low back bra. More just to hold my gut in and push my boobs up a bit. It really has no other purpose....

ETS: I forgot to say what brand - It's a wonderbra actually.

Re: Big Breasted Brides...

I'm not wearing a strapless gown but I have to wear a strapless bra. Victoria Secret has them and they really work. I would buy one and bring it with you to the fitting, if you think it looks ok without it then at least you have one just in case. I'm a bigger 'C' and NO Strapless bras work for me, only Victoria Secret. GL

Can you see it through the dress? My mother has me thinking I should nix the bra because my bra will show.

I used a strapless corset type bra under my strapless gown. I purchased it at Georgettes in Hicksville.

No, you can't. Which I was surprised about since my dress is so sheer. I got one w/out lace.

Re: Big Breasted Brides...

I am not sure what kind of dress I will wind up with, but if it is strapless, I will probably wind up with a corset type thing (for my gutt!!) or a strapless bra from Victoria Secret. I have one from last year that's pretty good.

Re: Big Breasted Brides...

I tried mine on with a straples logn lien bra & it wlooked so much beter thant with my own vitoria secret straples bra.The long line supports the boobs& smooths your stomach, which is also an issue for me.

I am goignt o Town Shop in NYC tomorrow to see try & biy one. The one at the bridal shop wasn't exactly the right size.

I wouldn't go braless. I guess it depends on
the dress, but I think I'd be be in pain & the shape wouldn't look right.

I am a DD, and I am not going to wear one at all, my dress is so tight up there that I couldn't fit one in the dress with me.

Re: Big Breasted Brides...

My dress was not strapless, but it was off the shoulders. I am a 32D and bought a Victoria Secret's bra. It was really comfortable and supportive. I got it in ivory and you could not see it through my dress.

My dress has boning in it so even though I thought I needed a bra, I only need cups. The boning from the dress will keep me up up up!

I'm a 36C and was considering not wearing a bra. Is that wrong? The dress is so supportive I don't feel like I need one.

Re: Big Breasted Brides...

Goddess makes excellent and supportive bras. I wore a long line under my off the shoulder gown. There are several stores on LI that will fit you for the right bra.

I went to a store in Rockville Centre and I know of 2 others, one in Woodbury and one in East Meadow.

Re: Big Breasted Brides...

Oh me oh my! I don't know what I will do. I am a 38DD, and cannot STAND strapless bras. Lucky for me, FH doesn't want me to wear a strapless dress!

Have not really been dress shopping yet...so we'll see. I would love to wear an everyday bra, assuming I can find a dress that it won't peek out!

Re: Big Breasted Brides...

I wear a 32 DD. I would not wear a strapless. Instead I would wear a strapless corset (but not corset) type thing. I forgot what they are called. I personally hate strapless bras, they never stay on right.
