FH and I finally found a church that suits both our needs! It's perfect and we're so excited.
it is INSANELY expensive, $3500, but since the ceremony is the most important part of the reception we're going to splurge. The contract says this includes the Rehearsal, ceremony, officiant and organist.
I know that traditionally you're expected to tip the officiant and organist, but with this sky-high price, do you think the 'tips' are 'included' or am I supposed to give them more money on top of the $3500??????

That seems utterly absurd. My church cost $500 including organist, rehearsal, Church coordinator (who was, frankly, useless), and officiant

At a Church you don't tip the officiant, typically
I tipped the alter servers and the organist

That's is very high! We paid 2,500 for 5 hours, decor, set up, clean up, and officiant.

Money is absolutely an object!! lol. we're going to spend less on flowers and favors, as we think (for us) that the ceremony has to be a priority over these things.
I'm just trying to figure out how much i need to adjust my budget... so that's why I'm wondering if we still need to tip the organist on top of this? and how much?

That is a lot of money...my church calls it a donation but basically said $500 is the norm. I guess if you like it and have the money, go for it. Congrats!

I know the price is absurd. I'm not happy about it, but we're budgeting to make it work.
my question is if we're supposed to tip the organist, on top of that?

But anyway, at that price, I wouldn't tip. She's getting paid by the church to play.
