Big day today! Menu planning AND flowers!! EDIT!!!!!
So we go to the place today for the menu. I was told its going to take 2 1/2 hours to do it.
Then its off to Spitz and Peck to discuss the flowers.
I will update later after we have made the decisions.
My mom wants sweetbreads. She AINT getting sweetbreads!!!
Less than 10 weeks.

So we just got back. it took 2 1/2 hours to plan the menu.
10 passed hors d' oeuvres 9 stations
(and that's just for the CH!!)
We went with the Chateau Briand for meat with vanilla scented mashed pot.
Chicken with demi glaze stuffed with mushroom pate. with truffle scented fingering pot.!!
Herb encrusted Chilean sea bass.
The flowers are going to be just beautiful. We talked about decor and what we will do, but wont finalize the bo-k's till we see his sample centerpiece.
Our palate is going to be more creams and light pink. The room has a lot of color so we wanted to keep the flowers simple and elegant. But the ceremony room (sanctuary) is going to be just magnificent. Im also excited how they are going to treat the outside of the synagogue with candles leading up the walkway and up lighting by the door to show off the 100 year old shul!
Wow. It was a lot for one day!
Now I cant wait for the tasting!
