I went to Estelle's! I tried on mostly sizes 18/20 and some 16W. I would guess I tried about 12 dresses which I was surprised they had in those sizes. Also I specifically was looking for a short sleeve or something with wide strap tho my preference was a sleeve.
I found A Venus Bridal which as an extra bonus was only $399! It does not have a lot of beading but what it has is attractive and it's a great cut. I also was debating on a MoriLee and Bonny. so those are the only names I can give you. I must say I am impressed with the quality of construction on the Venus. the dress is interfaces and also has a corset type lining with bonig (ick but I can use it) and an inner slip with the netting petticaot betw that and dress. HTH

dress looks much prettier in person.

I bout my Maggi Sottero at Bridal Reflections in Massapequa.
Maggie dresses come in large sizes, up to 26, and BR has large size samples.

Maggie Sottero here as well. The corset dresses are very flattering on the plus sized girls. Pictures in my bio

That's cutting it close for a wedding gown. You probably need to buy it off the rack now. Check out the unique boutique at www.lighthousemission.net!!! They don't have the gowns on the website, but it tells you directions to the place and hours. They have many new gowns at really cheap prices that you buy off the rack!!! I got mine there, you can check out my fat a$$ in my album!

I bought my Alfred Angelo dress at The Wedding Center in Commack. They have a lot of plus sized samples and you can probably put a rush on your dress. I ordered mine in January and it came in in April .

Davids has a lot of plus size dresses. Even if she doesn't get her dress there, she can get an idea of what type dress she likes. Also Alfred Angelo has a great plus size collection.

I think my salon had a number of larger sized samples. Try Lidia's in Copiague. They are great in there.

Alfred Angelo has plus-size gowns. You can go to his website (www.alfredangelo.com) and there is a store locator option.

I ordered my dress this week and it will be in the store in August. I'm getting married in October

DaVinci has some very flattering options and they also have a 6 week delivery program. I tried one on at the Bridal Suite in Centereach.

As a matter of fact, Bridal Suite of Centereach has an entire plus-size room just off the main room.

Here's the DaVinci. Their pictures stink, but the dress is very comfortable, especially considering the size of the train.

I too am getting married in Oct and I have not ordered my dress yet...I am also plus size.

I have lost 20lbs in the last 3 weeks and would like to lose 10 more before ordering.

I have a few weeks left (according to the Bridal Shop in Mamaroneck)..

They can rush order dresses from a few designers in as little as 4-6 weeks!!
