FH has this really romanticized idea of getting married at City Hall in NYC. He is from Seattle, and so is his entire family. While we have a wedding date set for 3/3/12 (for a big shebang), it looks like his parents, sister, and BIL will be coming to NY right after Christmas!!
So it looks like we're planning a civil ceremony at City Hall for December (I'm a teacher, so over Christmas break). At first I was semi-hesitant (what will people say, etc.), but now I really don't care! It also ends up working out really well, because my cousin who has autism doesn't go out on Saturdays, and now she'll be able to attend...which is really important.
So, it looks like I'll be a 2011 and 2012 bride!!

Awesome! This is exactly what we did...I actually got married last November and we didn't tell anyone other than our parents. I was hesistant also but it was totally fine!
