Big weekend of Debauchery and Religion for FH!
Tonight FH has his bachelor party in the city. my spy (my BIG brother) will be there as well though I am sure there will be some sort of 'Fight Club' mentality to the night. Eh let him knock himself out. Let him think that a stripper is REALLY interested in getting to know him.![]()

The second REALLY big thing is that tomorrow, FH and I will be in temple as FH is called to the Torah for his Auf Ruf.
The Auf Ruf ceremony is a unique occasion to honor a Jewish groom and bride at Shabbat services. It typically happens the Shabbat before the wedding. The word 'Auf Ruf' (derived from the German) refers to the 'calling up' of the groom-to-be and bride-to-be to the Torah for an aliyah(honor). At this time, the rabbi blesses the couple in honor of their forthcoming marriage. Sometimes family and friends throw candy as a gesture of well-wishing and sweetness. I am so excited for him though I want to see what happens when he is so hung over from the bachelor party that he cannot function in temple tomorrow. Should be fun because his parents are taking out the families afterwards.![]()
