my wedding seems to have gotten really big, i am sure its still small compared to some, but its much bigger than FH and I ever thought it would be. Am I alone or have others guest list snowballed into something they never imagined???

Mine did. We cut a lot of people and ended up with a 429 person guest list. The count we gave the hall was 325 and on our big day, we had about 312 people there (people had sick kids, got stuck in the midwest, etc).
Throughout the planning, I was overwhelmed in thinking about the number of people who were going to be there to share our big day with us. When the time came, I was so excited, I didn't realize that there were that many people!

YES!!!...i never thought i'd have a small wedding, but the guest list is out of control. Honestly, I have been afraid to do a guestlist for the wedding. Our e-party is at 190. I started to do the guest for wedding, just adding on to our e-party list, and i was getting overwhelmed. Basically it will be close to 400...cant go over that either bc our rh's maximum is 400...at this point i am hoping for 300-350 instead of 350-400

I didn't want a big wedding. I figured I'd have about 100 guests. My minimum is 110.

US TOO. WE ORIGINALLY WANTED A SMALL INTIMATE WEDDING IN ARUBA (WHERE WE GOT ENGAGED). WE CHOSE TO GET MARRIED HERE B/C OF THE ELDERY. ANYWAY, THE WEDDING IS NO LONGER INTIMATE. IT IS HUGE AND GETTING BIGGER BY THE DAY!

definately..I'm having my wedding on a friday night originally because i thought I couldn't make the minimum on a saturday evening..boy was i wrong..my guest list went way up!!!!!!

Ours actually ended up being a little smaller then i thought... although i am still waiting for a few RSVP's to trickle in.
basically, we were on such a small budget (we are paying for it ourselves and money is tight) i had to cut.... basically, before i sent out the invites, i basically made the cuts so i knew what the 'worst case scenario' would be. i invited NO ONE from work (that was hard) and friends, sorry, if they weren't dating anyone seriously, they were not invited with a guest... also, a lot of overseas guests that i thought might make the trip are not.

My FH and I didn't think we'd meet the 125 person min, now we're almost at 200. And his mother keeps 'mending fences' with more and more relatives she now decides she wants to attend! It's driving me a wee bit insane! I just remind myself it's nice to know we have that many people that care about us.

wow!! looking at some of these numbers scares me.
i wanted 60 ppl. we ended up with 80. it was perfect for us.

YES!! I only wanted 100 people tops at mine, but even our initial list was close to 200, and it looks like our final count (people attending) will most likely be around 175....we tried cutting, but almost everyone on the list are people that FH and I want to be there to share our day with us.

We were looking at places and afraid to make minimums, too, but now our list has crept from the 120-130 we wanted to somewhere around 170--eeks!!! We just want that many, we want the people who mean something to us to share in the day, but you know between parents, family, etc. that there are the 'must invites'

I didn't want a wedding. Then I wanted a very small wedding...
Then it got bigger and bigger.
It is still a relatively small wedding... I won't invite more than 100 people... but when you think about the fact that I wanted ZERO guests... it is now HUGE to me!

we guaranteed 100 thinking we'd NEVER be able to find 100 ppl to invite, let alone, attend the wedding.
our guest list is at about 160!!!!! and everyone who has RSVP'd all say yes!
