In your wedding planning what way did you find to cut significant costs? any particular vendor, DIY project?
I didn't find anything specific that helped me cut costs. I'd have to say the girls on these boards helped me the most. I didn't know 1/2 the things I know now, especially the DIY stuff. I would never have known which florists were reputable, where to get inexpensive STD's, etc. Kudos to the LIW brides!
We used a freelance photojournalist and I thank god every time I look at my pictures that we did. We paid 2500 dollars for pictures that should be in a magazine. Every, single wedding photographer we went to wanted 5K+ for half the amount of pictures we got and half the quality!
Having a winder wedding hands down. Other than that, it is all about being informed and not making impulsive decisions that could end up costing money.
