Biggest stress

Original post by jimmysgrl

I thought it might be helpful to those of us who seem to have little tight balls playing ping pongs in our stomachs to share in the misery What is everyone's biggest stressor at this moment when thinking about the wedding?

Mine is quite petty and I know it'll change over time but its the favors. I haven't found the 'perfect symbol' for my guests. I thought I had and then it fell through. Oh and of course, not finding 'the one' dress. It must be playing hide and seek with me!

Honestly, and I haven't really spoken about anything too personal on here before, but it's the fact that for the first time in my entire life, my sister and I aren't speaking. It's way too long and messed up to explain and sadly, I'm somewhat relieved to have a break right now. However, I have no idea how long this will go on. What if this goes on for months, wedding keeps getting closer, etc.... She is supposed to be my MOH. I don't care if her dress matches or not the day of,that stuff doesn't bother me. I'm not sure if I can get past some of the things she has pulled on my family lately to really want her in that position. It feels very fake to me right now. I hope this changes, but I really have no idea what will happen.

whoa. sorry so long and serious...

I hope everything works out in the end, hopefully this is the break that you needed and things will just get better.

Re: Biggest stress

My biggest stress is that I'm starting to second guess everything I have already done. I bought my dress - but is it the right one? I booked my place that I really like - but did I choose the right one?? Ughh...I'm driving myself crazy! I liked everything when I picked them out - but now I'm stressing....did anyone else go through this?

At this point, my stress is walking down the aisle and everyone looking at ME and then the dance where everyone is looking at FI and ME. Not looking forward to that at all!

nylibride - I hope everything works out!!

NYLIBride: Everything will work out ok in the end. Weddings bring out the worst and the best in people....

FAVORS have been my biggest stress thus far...then SECOND GUESSING things like my dress and catering hall.....and finally, this fear that one of my vendors wont show up....I have this horrible dream of not having aDJ on my wedding day.....

I hope things work out for you!
I don't really know the situation, so don't want to say anything wrong, but, perhaps its best if you approach her. Perhaps if you make the first move, things will work out.

The little details!

Will I forget my garter, order a cake topper, putting the invitations together, etc.
I feel like the big decisions were easier.

1. Right now, my biggest stress is about money...we started looking at apartments and I feel like there is no way in hell that we'll be able to afford rent and finish paying for the wedding, plus furnish an apartment. (We both still live at home.)

2. My in-laws...they have showed absolutely no interest in their oldest son's wedding and this is a constant argument between FH and I.

3. Finding a photographer...we looked at so many before finding one.

My biggest stress is that I will still be fat for my wedding.

my photographer.
I think I am paying a reasonable price for pictures, but my FH thinks its a ridiculous amount. He complains about it non stop. If these pics don't come out perfect, i'M never going to hear the end of it from him.

Re: Biggest stress

1.MONEY- My parents and FH are both giving me a set amount and I have to come up with the rest. Very scary!!!!!
2.Centerpieces- Making them myself and afraid they will look cheesy at the reception
3.Final Meeting with Vendors- I live OOT so I am worried about how to do this, especially since my catering hall is closed two weeks before my wedding
4.Invitations- I am worried that once I order them, I will want to change the time of everything!

Re: Biggest stress

Would definitely have to be both sets of parents.

Since both are divorced, and half are remarried, getting all of them in the same room is going to be interesting!
