Bigtime Haircut

Bigtime Haircut

Yesterday I went out and chopped about a foot of hair off!!!!

I know that they say not to do anything drastic before but I donated it to 'locks of love'. I've been wanting to do this for a LONG time. It's been about 9 months since my last haircut. It went from just above my waist to right under my ears. I just couldn't wait any longer since it was too long and driving me crazy!!!!!

It's going to take me a while to get used to, I just pray that its ok for my wedding. Thats my biggest fear.

Re: Bigtime Haircut

I'll have to see what I can do tonight. I dont' know if I have any before pictures where you can actually tell how long the hair is though.

I was always wearing my hair up or in a bun so NOONE at work really noticed at first. Then as soon as one person said something, everyone was running over. One person thought my hair was up.

I went to Ulta in Holtsville. I'm really happy with the girl that did it so I asked her if she did weddings. She said she does weddings and they have makeup people and that I don't need to rush myself, there is plenty of time. They seem to have reasonable prices too (I know several of my BM were concerned about the cost).

If your hair is anything like mine it will grown in just fine by your wedding. My hair grows like a weed.

Good karma, I don't know about that....worrying about how my hair is going to look might be a little selfish considering whomever may get my hair.

Here we go, I don't have any recent pix but this might give a better idea.

Before, taken in October when FH and I were on a cruise it was a few weeks after a haircut and the last time I actually cut my hair.

After taken a couple of hours ago!

Re: Bigtime Haircut

I just realized how much I hate myself in pictures LOL

I seem to go back and forth with my thoughts. I think it's better for my face. One minute I like it the next I don't. I miss my long hair.

FH came home from work this morning telling me how much he loves my new 'do so that made me feel better.

I'm soooo glad it's friday!!!!! FH is off this weekend so I get to see him for a change. I'm missing him.

Another bride on here recommended them to me for quality and their prices are amazing, I'll get my wedding hair done for $50 no problem

I HATE getting my hair done, part of why I waited 8 months to get a cut (though most of it was for the charity purposes) As it is, I was probably going every 3 months or more.

I thought the prices were great especially for a wedding !! I don't know how expensive the makeup part is, i didn't ask but I'm guessing it should be reasonable. I'll probably do a trial or something just to see.

I had posted a while ago asking how much people spend on their hair for the wedding. I was told upwards of $150 just for the hair!!! I'm on a budget so i can't spend $400 between the hair and makeup.

My sister was like, you need to book now so I was a little worried but after talking to the stylist, i'm not too concerned. There's so much more to think about.
