In Bayville. He was probablly drunk again. I love Joel. Have seen him several times in concert. I live near where he grew up. but he needs help.

The news story I just saw on TV said there was no evidence of drugs or alcohol. Even so, three accidents in 2 years is a bit much.
The people who live in the house weren't around when it happened. Can you imagine getting home and being told by the cops, 'Billy Joel crashed into your house today!'??

I grew up in Oyster Bay and never saw any famous people. I don't get it.
Actually once Howard Stern came through the drive thru at McDonald's when I was working. But that's been all the excitement for me.

(04/25/04) BAYVILLE - Nassau police say Long Island rock star Billy Joel drove one of his cars through a row of bushes and into a Bayville home on Sunday afternoon. Police say there was minimal damage at the house, located on the corner of Bayville Avenue and Third Street. The residents were not home at the time of the crash. Cops say the 'Piano Man' probably skidded off Bayville Avenue because of wet, slick road conditions from light rain at the time.
Joel was alone in his car. Police say he suffered a minor laceration to his hand but refused medical attention at the scene. No one else was hurt.
News 12 Long Island tried to reach a spokesperson for Joel, but phone calls were not returned. Cops say alcohol and drugs were not a factor in Sunday's accident. It was Billy Joel's third wreck in less than two years.

Sorry I just have to laugh I had three accidents in 1 year. I was rear ended, backed into and I rear ended someone else, all within 12months.

Incidentally, I was in two accidents within two weeks!
I was rear ended in Garden City, then I was in the car when my friend was rear ended in Garden City.
I should stay out of Garden City.
I should really just move.

And with all the crap going on in the world today, That was the lead story on the 11 o'clock news. I guess we don't care about all the dead americans in Iraq anymore.

That is complete BS. If that was you or I that drove into a house, we would have been tested on the spot and arrested. Even if you refuse a breathalizer, they can still arrest you for DWI. When you are famous, the law doesnt apply to you!
