Birdcage Veil

Has anyone tried making a birdcage veil? I can see where making the regular illusion fabric one is fairly easy, but I'm concerned about getting the right tension on the netting so it doesn't flop on my face. I'm thinking I should just plunk down the $90 and ordering from Unveiled Bridal Designs , if it's going to turn into a massive frustration. I've made the STD's, invites, programs, menus, BM jewelry - I'm not worried that I'll lose my crafting street cred if I go on and buy something. On the other hand, if it's easy enough, why not just make it?

Re: Birdcage Veil

I don't think the netting is all that expensive... you could just buy some and try it... thats what I would do, anyway...
