I think there is a pill that you can take, but I don't think you're able to drink alcohol if you take it. I would call your gyno for this info. Good luck!

Re: birth control
Not that I know of!
Although, they say when women live together, they cycle together. Find someone with a good cycle and invite her to be your roomie... and just hope she doesn't take your cycle.
Okay, sorry, that was a bad joke.
I don't know of any way to avoid your friend on that day, but hey, hopefully it won't happen.
I have NEVER used these things, but some people swear by diva cups (google search). I found out about them from (of all things) one of the horse-related message boards I post on. Women wear them riding, too. Apparently, you can keep them in a lot longer. If you try it and it works for you, then at least you could get away with not having to change tampons / pads at your wedding in the unfortunate event that you do have a visit from aunt flo...
I'd just test it out in a variety of sitations (like dancing!) first to make absolutely certain it doesn't leak.

Not without a pill or prescription. I don't see how you could alter your periods 'naturally'.

I suggest talking to you OB/GYN. It's the safest way to approach this.

You can't guarantee you won't have breakthrough bleeding or anything during the first couple months on the pill. Even if you took the pill for two months and skipped the inactive pills (to avoid your period), you might still have bleeding (or be really bloated). It's tough to do it short-term because you don' t know how you will react to it.
The surprise of breakthrough bleeding might be worse!
And, you may not have to worry about it at all - You might not have it at the wedding at all!
My SIL had hers at her wedding, and she managed just fine -- -AND, there was a honeymoon baby, too!

Re: birth control
I had a friend who went on BC right before her wedding, and she gained weight all in her boobs! She had to have her gown adjusted -so just be careful!

Re: birth control
ok I personally cant' take hormones due to medical issues so i have done quite a bit of research on it. since you do still have a bit of time and as long as you have predictable cycles it is possible to postpone your friend. If you increase your b vitamins you can lengthen your luteal phase. It does not always work but it did work for me. Now I shouldn't have my friend for my wedding good luck

well as soon as you stop the pill you can get pregnant (hey, you can even get pregenant while you're on the pill if you're not careful). i'd recommend talking to your doctor. maybe you could go on it for a few months (like 6 months ahead maybe) to make sure you're used to it and all the kinks have been worked out (aka break through bleeding and bloating), then stop right after the wedding. talkt to you doc though.
i've heard about the diva cups too - they're supposed to be great. never used them though. (try googling them) they also used to have disposable versions, but i think they were discontinued b/c why buy disposable when you can buy one that lasts for 10 years?

I don't think its a good idea to just start the pill and then stop it. The first time you go on the pill there can be lots if side effects- nausea, spotting -you dont want to have to deal with that. You also have to take at least two packs back to back to prevent your periou from coming.
