birth control

I am going to start loestrin 24 fe... I need it to reduce my cramps and breakouts during my period.. I wanted to try ortho again but I believe the last time I tried it I was upset all the time and would have crazy mood swings...
what do you ladies prefer? thanksssssss

everyones body responds differently to hormones. So you really can't go by what someone prefers. I have friends that swear by ortho tri cyclen, i can't take it because it causing break through bleeding.
Try the loestrin for 3 months, then decide if its right for you.

You have to try it and decide for yourself. I've tried about 10 different bcs and have always had issues until I started the nuvaring which I personally love.

I got upgraded to Loestrin 30 because with Loestrin 24 I got break through bleeding all the time = not normal. I am in the middle of my first pack of the 30 (generic of course because it is pricey). Try it for 3 months and see what happens.

I am on loestrin 24 but it causes me not to get my monthly pd. Just something to keep in mind.

i was on ortho evra patch for 4.5 years. i would get these horrible headaches during the patch free week. i had a headache one month for 7 days straight. so i just started ortho tri cyclen lo. so far so go. the only thing is that i hate having to take a pill everyday.

I had a horrible experience on Ortho and would never go back. Mircette has been great for me tho!

were you on ortho or ortho lo? I started on regular ortho and got the same way...moody and would cry over nothing. so they switched me to ortho lo and i was fine. i was on the for like 6 years.

i took orthotrycycline lo and it made me depressed but now ive been on loestrin 24 for four years and i love it

I hate ortho lo and went crazy on it. I was also on femcon but stopped taking bc all together and feel much better.

I had a similiar experience with Orthro. I would NEVER take it again. It got so bad that a doctor at one point was convinced I was bipolar. I was miserable for an entire year. I would never recc. you take it again if you had to deal with the mood swings the first time.

I'm on Loestrin Fe for years and I love it. I do get my period, but it's so light sometimes I miss it. I don't really get cramps, if I do get some uncomfortableness, 1 advil and I'm fine. At one point my dr put me on another pill, I can't remember the name but it was the same stuff that was in Loestrin but it was delivered differently (I beleive it was in the three phases) and I was miserable. I cried constantly, so I went back on Loestrin before they put me in a padded room. I like having the option of the iron pills for the last week. I don't always take them, but sometimes I get a little anemic and pop one of those and feel better.

I am goingto try this for 3 months
on Loestrin I was reading the directions, my period ended a few days ago, so do I have to wait a month now on the first day of my period to take the first pill?
